NSP Application Form 2022 Eligibility Criteria

  • Pre Matric Scholarship Schemes for Minorities
    • A student is qualified if they received at least 50% on their prior final test.
    • The total annual household income cannot be higher than Rs. 1 lakh.
    • This is intended for students in Classes I through X.
  • Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities
    • A candidate must have received at least 50% on the prior final test, or an equal grade.
    • The total annual household income is not more than Rs. 2.00 lakh.
    • Class XI and XII admission and tuition fees are Rs. 7,000 each year, subject to change (both Hosteller & Day Scholar)
    • For Class XI, 7 XII technical and vocational programmes lasting one or more years, the admission and course/tuition fees are Rs. 10,000 per year (Day Scholars & Hostelers)
    • Admission and tuition for undergraduate and graduate students: Rs. 3,000 per year (both Hosteller & Day Scholar)

You must register on NSP using Student Login in order to continue to benefit from the aforementioned scholarships. However, students must confirm that their present school is listed on the portal before submitting an application for a scholarship. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use the national scholarship portal to apply for an NSP scholarship:

Step 1: Looking for the Institute

  1. Go to the portal’s home page.
  2. Select the ‘Search for Institute’ option.
  3. Fill out the form to get the list of institutions.

Step 2: Creating an account on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

  1. All new users must visit the homepage of the NSP to register.
  2. Select “New Registration.”
  3. It will open a page with instructions for registering on NSP.
  4. Read the instructions thoroughly.
  5. To continue, click “Continue.”
  6. Include the necessary information.
  7. Then click “Register.”
  8.  A student application ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number for you.

Step 3: Using the National Scholarship Portal to Log In

  2. Enter the application ID and password that were sent to your registered phone number.

Step 4: Alter the password (A mandatory step)

  1. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number if you successfully login.
  2. Check the OTP.
